But what is in the<strong> <\/strong>largely remains a mystery. Here in this short text I would try and make it simpler what actually mean. The word <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Vedas\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">VEDA <\/a><\/strong>is derived from the root word in <strong>Sanskrit <\/strong>known as <strong>VID <\/strong>which translates into knowledge. In simpler terms,<strong> <\/strong>are the texts or ancient most tradition of knowledge passed on from generation to generations. It was around not less than <strong>5000 years<\/strong> back when the <strong>Vedic <\/strong>scriptures were written down and compiled by a group of sages in various books and scriptures. The necessity of writing down the <strong> <\/strong>was due to the fact that as time progressed the enormous memorizing potential of mankind slowly started to diminish. <strong>Vedas <a href=\"https:\/\/sanskaryogashala.com\/\">Yoga <\/a><\/strong>It is believed that the <strong>Vedic <\/strong>scriptures are of divine agency and have been passed on through divine intervention directly into the minds of enlightened souls of antiquity. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"287\" height=\"175\" src=\"https:\/\/sanskaryogashala.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/12\/download-20.jpg\" alt=\"What are the Vedas?\" class=\"wp-image-544\" style=\"width:840px;height:auto\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>The Vedas which were finally written down was known as <strong>SMRITI <\/strong>( = from the memory) and finally, we have four distinct which are also known as <strong>CHATURVEDA<\/strong>. The four <strong>Vedas <\/strong>in the sequence are:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><em>1. RIG VEDA&nbsp;<\/em><\/strong>( = <strong>RIG <\/strong>means to praise or glorify)<br><strong><em>2. YAJUR VEDA<\/em><\/strong>&nbsp;( = <strong>YAJUR <\/strong>means to worship)<br><strong><em>3. SAMA VEDA<\/em><\/strong>&nbsp;( = <strong>SAM <\/strong>means song and melody)<br><strong><em>4.
