Our yoga teaching system is much more similar to the Ancient Gurukul system of Education.

The Yoga Teachers at Sanskar Yoga Shala are offering the Residential Yoga Courses in Rishikesh which consist of a dedicated team and committed teachers having years of professional experience. They have been sharing their profound knowledge of yoga for more than 20 years.

Our teachers have overpowering yogic knowledge which they gained under the finest yoga masters belonging to Vedic Gurukul tradition of Yoga Teaching. It includes Himalayan Classical Hatha Yoga, Himalayan Vinyasa(flow) and Himalayan Kundalini Yoga. Our mission is to offer the Best Yoga Teacher Training in Rishikesh, India and to provide the Vedic knowledge of spiritual aspect which creates an experience that will positively affect your body, mind and soul. Whatever we teach at Sanskar Yoga Shala -Traditional Yoga Ashram in Rishikesh India, we draw it from the Santana Tradition, i.e. Ancient Hinduism Tradition.

Our Ashram consist of two yoga halls which has can be accommodated with 25 students at one time. One for yogic practices and other for theory classes. Also a beautiful backyard to sit, relax and practice.

Rooms in our ashram consist of comfortable beds with Vedic plaster(Mud) walls which gives an amazing natural feeling. These walls contains a mixture of mud which helps regulate the room temperature also.

We serves only purely sattvic food with organic ingredients in our spacious dining hall, the teas served in the ashram are also organic. We also have a meditation cave where any person who needs a noise free environment for their Dhyana or Meditation can sit and do it.

Our mini library has all the texts you need to start your yogic journey from Beginner to Advanced level. From yoga asanas to ayurveda to Anatomy, our mini library covers a good range of topics which you sit and study there.

We also have very friendly pet dog named Rambo who is a fun element at our ashram.

Sanskar Yogashala is Registered with Yoga Alliance USA and offers 200 hours , 300 hours and 500 hours Traditional Yoga teacher training Certification courses in Rishikesh, Dharmashala, Goa (India) and Thailand.

Rishikesh has been the abode for ancient seers and sages of antiquity who have been mentioned again and again in the traditional system of knowledge . as the name itself implies “ the pinnacle of the seers” this holy city has been the spiritual guiding light throughout ancient India and now the whole world.

It has attained the status of world yoga capital owing to its profound and ongoing tradition of imparting yogic knowledge and is a centre of mixed cultures where you can find both Indian and foreign individuals moving in the busy streets of this holy city coming for the same purpose: soul searching and the true essence of ancient Indian spirituality.

The holy river Ganges in its most blissful and thought-provoking flow makes the place even more interesting and peaceful that you can find most of the populace residing and spending their time with the constantly flowing mother the Ganges. Hence it is regarded as one of the holiest pilgrimages. The sage som Sharma performed hard penance here and prayed to Lord Hrishikesh Narayan who then Pleased by his penance granted him a boon and he witnessed the true form of lord Hrishikesh Narayana.

The name of this holy city also appears in the ancient text, Skand Puran and in further folk culture, it became famous as Rishikesh.

This area is also known as Kubjamrak because Lord Vishnu appeared here under a mango tree. This ancient name is used during performance of religious rites even till date. It is a spiritual town with a population of Approx 80,000 in the area of 11.20 sq km. it’s 40 km from Dehradun the capital of Uttrakhand and just 24km away from the spiritual town of Haridwar situated on the banks of river Ganga surrounded by beautiful Shivalik hills of the Himalayan range on its three sides. Rishikesh is also the base for the Chardham pilgrimage and a gateway for the Garhwal Himalayan region.

I truly enjoyed my experience at Sanskar Yogashala. From the moment I arrived, I felt safe and taken care of. Their taxi driver picked me up from the airport and dropped

me to the shala, where I was greeted with warmth and friendliness. The rooms were simple, yet spacious, comfortable and clean. I chose double occupancy, so I shared a room with another student which was wonderful. The food was always prepared well, and often there was more than enough. My favourite part about meal time was the singing and chanting then sitting in community on the floor to eat. The Kundalini program itself was very well organized and there was a good balance between lectures/discourse, practice and self study. There was a variety of teachers taking on each section of the training, and they all made themselves accessible for questions and time with students even outside of class. There was a bit of spontaneity which I appreciated as we went on trips to a few different places. Overall excellent experience and I highly recommend this school for YTT.

This was my first training program as well as my first time traveling to India, and the staff and teachers at this school made me feel welcome and comfortable immediately. I had completed my Traditional Yoga Teacher Training with Sanskar Yogashala. I feel like my second spiritual home. I feel like my second spiritual home.Each class that they offered held a lot of information and content - so take good notes! Every teacher was full of knowledge so if you are willing to ask questions and be an attentive student you'll be able to learn sooo much.
